The Sigma 90mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary short-focus telephoto lens is designed for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras with an E mount, but it can also be used with APS-C models, where it provides a focal length equivalent to 135 mm. Five elements with special low dispersion (SLD) noticeably reduce chromatic aberrations and color edging, increasing the clarity and accuracy of color reproduction. One aspherical element helps control distortion and spherical aberrations to achieve a high degree of sharpness and accurate rendering. The built-in stepper motor provides smooth and silent autofocus, which is complemented by an internal focusing design that provides greater response speed. The manual aperture ring has the "A" position for selecting the aperture based on the camera. The rounded nine-petalled diaphragm provides a smooth and pleasant bokeh quality. The brass bayonet provides increased accuracy and rigidity of mounting, and the rubber seal built into the mounting structure makes it resistant to dust and splashes.
